The Turbine Hall

In the 1930’s, Hammarby Sjöstad was an industrial area. The Turbine Hall, which then roomed welders doing their daily work, is now renovated with respect of the buildings history, to house a new generation of professionals. The building once fitted with large machineries under high ceilings, is now being used to create an open atmosphere with room to think, live and work. Rugged, industrial textures and shapes stand in contrast to Tom Dixon’s contemporary design, a combination to fit the diverse nature of our residents’ daily lives.

Location

Our location is just 15 minutes from Stockholm’s city center. Over the past years, this once industrialized area, surrounded by mountains and lakes, has been “re-designed” to meet the needs of contemporary living. Hammarby Sjöstad offers a balance of city living and outdoor experience. Here you are also close to concerts and events at the Ericsson Globe and Tele2 Arena. If you're after some fresh air, Hammarbybacken, Stockholm's city-center ski slope, is excellent for a day of downhill skiing or running downhill intervals.
